We hope you all had a nice spring break. It is hard to believe we are going into our last month of Pre-K.  This week we worked on special projects for Mothers Day and review.

Literacy:  We have finished working on all the letters of the alphabet using our HWT curriculum. The rest of this year we will continue to work on upper and lowercase letter formation and the letter sounds. Thank you for working on letter recognition and sounds with your child. We have really noticed that many of the children are recognizing most of the letters. We read the books My Mother is Mine by Dane Bauer and Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. We watched the video about ducks that Mrs. Bois made.  If you or your child would like to see it, Mrs. Bois put the link in her May directors letter.

Fine Motor/Art: We continue to work on our name writing. You will notice that the children now have a block drawn to write their name in. This is to help them work on writing their names smaller.

Science: We talked about the life cycle of ducks and watched a video.

Art: Special surprise!

Sensory Table: The sensory table contained water, pool noodle lily pads and rubber ducks.

Dramatic Play: Currently our dramatic play is set up as a Home Center. It is set up with a kitchen and baby dolls with accessories.

Gross Motor: We continue to get outside for play on the playground.
