Clark and Deveau:

I can’t believe how quickly our Monday, Wednesday, and Friday PEEP year is winding down!!! Our final month will be filled with fun, excitement and as you have probably come to expect from this group, tons of silliness! Our first week will be focused on LAVA. We will create volcanoes that erupt on our science days, play the floor is lava on our large motor days and during our Friday STEM challenge, we will use a variety of classroom items to build bridges so we can cross our “lava-filled” classroom.

Week two will have us learning about gravity. We will attempt to make straw rockets, play anti-gravity games and learn about balance

Pollination is the theme for week three. We will use some favorite snacks as we turn ourselves into bees and go through the steps of how bees pollinate flowers, we learn some incredibly silly bee songs and we will even paint some bee rocks.

Our final lessons will focus on COLOR! Color mixing, color games, and even some tie-dye art.

We’ve had wonderful adventures in our PEEP class this year and we hope your little ones have enjoyed it as much as we have!

Storie:

We are heading into our last month of PEEP and we have had a great year. On Monday science day we will finish off the year with an exploration of rocks. We will make observations of various rocks, discuss the different types of rocks and how they are formed. The children will conduct an experiment to see how these rocks are formed, make a rock and a pet rock. The last week will be bubble exploration and fun.

On Wednesdays we will revisit some activities we have done this year and get our bodies moving. On Friday the children will do math, science or art activities to do along with our story for the day. This has been a great year with your children. Enjoy your summer.

Friedrich and Murphy:

The month of May will bring some great opportunities for children to experiment and discover.  This month your little artist with experiment with painting with different mediums such as sand art, and fun colored shaving cream paint.  Your little scientist will make predictions, and try their hand at sink or float, and will also challenge the power of magnets.  Your little engineers will test bridges and build a bridge to get all the bears across!  To work our large body muscles, we will practice balancing and challenge yoga poses, use the parachute, and learn a game of hot potato!
