Week September 25-29 Nursery Bois

By | September 28, 2017

We had a great week of apples and mixing colors.

Circle Time: The children are learning new songs every week, but still love the old songs and Pete the Cat.

Literacy: We read the books “Mouse Paint” by Ellen Stoll Walsh and ” Little Yellow and Little Blue” by Leo Lionni.  We discussed how when colors are mixed together they create another color.

Math: We worked on sorting apples by colors in began to use the words more and less.

Sensory Table: We had water and apples in our sensory table this week.

Art: We mixed 2 colors of paint and shaving cream, in a ziploc bag, and discovered what color the 2 colors turned in to.  These went home in your child’s backpack on Tuesday.  We also used marker caps to paint an apple tree.

Yellow Day: We painted with yellow and tore paper to work on our fine motor skills.

Sincerely,

Mrs Bois and Mrs Deveau
