Week October 9-13 Nursery Bois

By | October 12, 2017

This was a very short week, due to our power outage on Tuesday. We did do a lot of activities on Thursday, so the children were very busy.

Literacy: We read the books “My Mama Monster Loves Me So” by Laura Leuck and ” The Little Old Lady That Was Not Afraid of Anything” by Linda Williams.  We will be acting out the Little Old Lady book next week.  The children are going to play each part of the book with props.

Art: We created 2 kinds of green monsters today.  One we painted a plate green and then put on the parts.  The other we used our handprints to create the handy monster.

Sensory Table: We had fall items with leaves, jewels, and acorns.

Science: We melted ice, shaped like pumpkins, by using warm water and eyedroppers.  In the ice we found googly eyes, so fun!  We worked on our fine motor skills while doing this activity.

Maintenance Day: Our fall maintenance day is Sunday, October 15 from 8-12.  Come for an hour or 2 and help us with different outside and inside projects.

Open House:  Our open house is Tuesday, October 17 from 6-8.  All family members are welcome to come.  Drop by anytime!

Reminder: Orange Day is Thursday, October 19. Have your child wear something orange.

Sincerely,

Mrs Bois and Mrs Deveau
