Week October 2-6 Nursery Bois

By | October 5, 2017

We began our fall activities with the colors of autumn and spiders.  Our class LOVES to paint, so we do paint everyday with them.

Circle Time: The children are beginning to sing along to the familiar songs and participate during circle.  Their social skills are coming along, for this early in the year.

Literacy: We read the books “Leaf Man” by Lois Elhert and ” The Very Busy Spider” by Eric Carle.

Outside Hunt: After we read the book “Leaf Man”, we went on a hunt for leaves, acorns, and sticks.  The children loved filling up their bags with these items.

Art: We created a leaf man, with all of the items we collected outside.  We are working on their gluing skills and our pincher grip.

Sensory Table: We had fall items with rice.  The children sorted all of the items into containers.

Quilt Squares: We made our 2 October quilt squares this week.  We marble painted one, for a spider web, and the children created their own spider for the other.  They are hanging on our wall.

Fall Tree: We painted a fall tree, with the colors of autumn.

Reminder: Green Day is Thursday, October 12.  Have your child wear something green.

Sincerely,

Mrs Bois and Mrs Deveau
