Week February 5-9 Pre-K Bois

By | February 9, 2018

Another crazy week, with the snow day in the middle.  We did get a lot accomplished this week with the children.  They are all working so hard on their letter and number recognition.

Literacy: We read the books “The Cat Who Wore a Pot on Her Head” by Jan Slepian and Ann Seidler and “The Day it Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond. After we read the book “The Cat Who Wore a Pot on Her Head” we talked about listening to others and understanding what others have said.

Math: We sized hearts from smallest to largest in 2 groups.  The children did great with working together as a team.

Sensory Table: We had Valentine items in our sensory table for sorting.

Olympic Unit:  The Olympics have begun and we are into the spirit in our class.  We crystallized the Olympic rings for a science experiment, to see if the children remembered when we did it a few weeks ago and could we change the results.  We are going to see if we can make orange crystals.

Art: We decorated our boxes for our Valentine party.

Nursery Rhymes: We practice our Nursery Rhymes everyday during circle.  Say them at home with your child.  They love the “Muffin Man” one.

Reminder:  Our Valentine Party is on Wednesday, February 14.  Have your child bring in their Valentine’s for that day.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Bois and Mrs Deveau
