Literacy: We read the books “The Day it Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond and “The Best Thing About Valentines” by Eleanor Hudson. We practiced writing our letter B.
Fine motor: The children had fun with Valentines beading. They laced and glued while making their Valentine’s pouches. They worked on their muscle while ripping paper for a project,
Sensory Table: Our sensory table was filled with cotton balls, foam and plastic hearts, Valentine erasers, tweezers and bowls.
Math: The children worked on their estimation skills using candy kisses. We guessed how many there were and then we counted them.
Art: We made our letter B art page for our book.
Dramatic Play: Dramatic play was set up as a super hero headquarters.
Gross Motor: We were lucky to get outdoors for some much needed playtime.
Reminder: Next Wednesday February 14th we will have a Valentine’s celebration. When making out your class Valentines please have your child sign the card.
