Desrosiers- Nursery October 2-6

By | October 6, 2017

Our theme this week was SPIDERS. The children really enjoyed looking at pictures of spiders and learning some fun facts about them!

Literacy: We read Miss Spider’s Tea Party by David Kirk. We also got to look at different kinds of spiders and discussed some of their features and what makes them the same and different.

Math: We counted spider legs and learned that spiders have 8 legs! We practiced counting the legs of the spiders and also worked on some matching this week as well.

Sensory Table: In the sensory table we had black beans and spiders!

Dramatic Play: Our pumpkin patch was a hit! The children loved the cash registers and pretended that they were buying pumpkins and gourds from each other.

Art: We made hand print spiders and also paper spiders! These all came out so cute and will be displayed on our Open House! Check out our new art center as well! The children are LOVING it!!
